The Lusitania

Lusitania_2263507bOn May 1, 1915, The Lusitania, a veteran passenger liner known for its speed and eloquence, began its final transatlantic voyage. On May 7th, just as it came in view of the Irish coast, it was torpedoed by a German U-boat and sank in less than 20 minutes. Almost 1,198 people died of the 1,959 on board.

In The Thorn Bearer, my two main characters board the ill-fated Lusitania on May 1. Their journey not only changes their lives, but their relationship.
